Curriculum Physical Education

The Sports Skills Academy programmes compliment the existing Key Stage 1 and 2 Physical Education Curriculum in Northern Ireland, providing opportunities for pupils to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in: 

  • Athletics

  • Games

  • Dance

  • Gymnastics 

We recognise that every school has different requirements. The Sports Skills Academy team of fully qualified PE teachers will work collaboratively with you to design and deliver a differentiated PE programme of study catering for inclusion of all pupils across a broad range of sports. 

Our Physical Education lessons provide a fun, active and stimulating learning environment that will challenge all pupils.

Before School and After School Clubs

Extra-curricular sports clubs can be delivered before or after-school. Our before school clubs such as the Sports Skills Academy ‘Sunrise Soccer’ and ‘First Thing Fitness’ offers a great start to the day and also ensures that pupils will never be late for school again.  

After-school clubs focus on skill development and participation in both individual and team sports. Our team of expert coaches design and deliver the following programmes: 

  • Football

  • Hockey 

  • Netball 

  • Multi-Sports 

  • Athletics 

  • Badminton 

  • Tennis 

  • Dance  

  • Golf

Before and after-school sports clubs are individually tailored to meet the specific needs of each school to ensure that programme dates, times and activities fit the school calendar. 

Sports Skills Academy makes it easy for schools - we will manage all administration and our fluid booking system for parents will ensure that enrolment and payment can be completed online at 

The team at Sports Skills Academy has experience dealing with schools receiving NIES funding. Specialist coaching packages can be tailored to meet the requirements of these primary schools.
